About Dana

Hi, this is Dana. I write stories—usually quirky, always romantic, and always with happy endings. If they warm your heart and make you smile, then I get my happy ending, too.

I’d love for you to get to know me and my stories better, so I’ve made my first two books free. And, I’m posting my entire story, “The Time Traveler’s Promise,” on Instagram and Facebook for free, as episodes. At some point in the future, the entire book will be for sale at your favorite store.

My first free book is “In Love With the Writer.” It’s a short, light-hearted, romantic read. You’ll love quirky Lindsay and her best artist-friend, Rachel, and root for them both to get their happy endings. If you’d like to see a spin-off from this book, let me know through email or social media. I have some ideas, and I’d love to hear yours as well.

I’m happy to make “Miriam – The Short Story” free as well. It’s the story of an artificial intelligence that falls in love with a real person, and he falls for her, too. Can their unique relationship survive? “Miriam” will eventually be a novel or novella, because there’s so much more of her story that I want to tell you.

I’m also a contributing author to “Stories Outside the Lines.” This one isn’t free, but go ahead and get a free sample from your favorite bookstore, here. You’ll probably get the first two stories for free in the sample. This is a compilation of new, emerging and established authors from my writers group. There are enough good, memorable stories in there that you won’t be disappointed. I’ll let you in on a secret: I contributed three stories to this anthology, including “Miriam – The Short Story,” plus two under a pen name: E.L. Hall. Those two are halloween-themed stories that aren’t romances. One is about a poor soul who becomes a victim of a halloween prank in the afterlife, and the other is about a family carving jack-o-lanterns for halloween, with a fun, scary twist.

If you want to follow me, I would be honored. This is what the writing gig is all about for me, so … I’ll try not to get too excited and scare you away. Here is my too-long list of ways to be my friend.

Finally, if you’re a super Dana Terry fan, and you want gifts like Dana Terry merch, signed books, recognition, access to exclusive posts containing behind-the-scenes glimpses, and more, you can do that here: patreon.com/danaterry. You can support me there for as little as a dollar a month. This will help with projects like posting “The Time Traveler’s Promise” on Instagram and Facebook, and I will love you for it.
